GREENE COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP FUND EXCELLENCE AWARDS awarded to a student with strong service to school and community. (2 awards below) ​

Saroka Excellence Award – Given in honor of former charter GCSF members Jim and Nonie Saroka. An Eagle Scout would be given strong consideration.

Turner Spring Slice Appreciation Award – This award is named after our annual fundraising golf tournament to show our appreciation to organizers Terry & Deb Turner.

GREENE LION’S CLUB AWARD (up to 3 awards) – This award recognizes a student with a strong commitment to community service and volunteering. Having a family member in the Greene Lion's Club is not required but please mark on your application if you are related to a Greene Lion’s Club member (page 2 of application).
IMPACTFUL WOMAN (up to 3 awards) – **Requires an additional essay** titled “A Woman Who Made an Impact on My Life”.
EDNA AND LARRY LAKE AWARD – Awarded in memory of Edna and Larry Lake, known in Greene for their many years of community service through the Greene Chamber of Commerce, their church, the “Keep Greene Clean Day”, and for their capability and willingness to teach by example.
GREENE ROTARY ROLAND WOLFORD AWARD – this award honors Roland Wolford, long time Rotarian who concentrated his years in education on vocational training. Awarded to a student pursuing education at a trade school or vocational program.
GREENE ROTARY COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD - recognizes a student with a strong commitment to community service.
GREENE ROTARY INTERACT AWARD – recognizes a student with a strong commitment to school and community service and volunteering in an Interact sponsored event.
ROBERT CRITTENDEN MEMORIAL AWARD – Awarded to a student attending college for a business teaching degree or the field of accounting/finance. **Requires an additional essay titled “Why I Want to Pursue a Career in….” (choose one of the areas of study listed above).
GREENE TOUCHDOWN CLUB (up to 2 awards) – Awarded to a Varsity football player. Please mark on the application if you played Varsity Football.
TINA M. TURNER MEMORIAL AWARD – Awarded to a female pursuing a business program. Preference given to a student with an equine interest.
THE TINA FUND AWARD – Awarded to a female pursuing a career in the medical field, preferably breast cancer research.

JAMIE CAMMARATA MEMORIAL AWARD – Awarded to a student with a friendly, helpful personality. Consideration may be given to someone pursuing a teaching career.
TREVOR BRECK MEMORIAL AWARD - Awarded to a student pursuing a career in music or English.
MARK KETZAK MEMORIAL AWARD – Awarded to a goal-oriented student pursuing an education in the areas of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Flight Simulation, Auto Mechanics, or Agricultural studies.
JONES MEMORIAL AWARD – Awarded to an outstanding athlete with strong academics.
The Parker Award- Awarded to a student pursuing a career in physical therapy, pursuing a career in sports medicine, or pursuing a career in the food industry. (Preference to a student who has volunteered or worked previously with a physical therapist.)

GREENE AREA CHURCHES (up to 4 awards) – Student must regularly attend and/or volunteer at a Greene Area Church. *Must has recommendation letter filled out by pastor of attending church
PEGGE COULSON MEMORIAL AWARD – Awarded to a student whose goal is to study, work and become professionally qualified in the field of Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture or Forestry. The student must show confirmation of acceptance into an appropriate accredited college program.
MARIA BROWN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded to a female student who has strong academic achievements, is principle driven not only in her academics but also in her relationship with teachers and peers. Consideration goes to a female student who is kind, thoughtful, considerate, a mentor, role model and a fierce competitor.
EMPIRE NATURAL GAS AWARD – Awarded to a student going to college to study Computer Science, Engineering or Statistics.
GREENE AIRPORT AWARD – Awarded to a student who is going to study in an Aeronautical field or a student who is studying and/or taking lessons for the Pilot’s license.
GCS VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP - Awarded to a student pursuing education at a trade school or vocational program, a student pursuing a career in criminal justice, or a student pursuing a career in education.

THE AMY STOLARCYK SCHOLARSHIP - Awarded to a student attending SUNY Broome College majoring in the health sciences with preference going to a student interested in the field of radiology, or the health sciences.

CARLTON ORR MEMORIAL AWARD: Given in memory of Greene student, Carlton Orr (1959), FFA member and wrestling champion, who contracted paralytic polio at 19, and spent his adult years in an iron lung. Awarded to a student pursuing a career in health care, agriculture and tangential areas, or a student who participated in wrestling throughout high school or is an athlete of another sport.

BEREAN BIBLE AWARD: Given to a student who has character, a strong work ethic, has community involvement or leadership in school (not necessarily formal leadership but someone who is making a positive difference with their peers.
Ruth Daniels Memorial Award: Given to a student pursuing a STEM related field of study and will be attending New York State College or University (not a private school). Student should have maintained a GPA is excess of 90%.
